Hi ,
I`m back at last!!! as usual forgot the way into my blogsite. Well I`ve been to China twice and got married since my last entry. In fact I have been married to Rob for two and a half years and it`s wonderful.
Chinese painting takes up a lot of my time and so I serve the N.H.S. for only eighteen hours a week.
Robert is a watercolour painter and after accompanying him on a Vic Kelly R.B.S.A. weekend ,I have been dabbling myself in the ways of western art.
The freedom of media and techniques are quite a contrast to traditional chinese painting and I am trying everything.
My super web man Andrew has created a new gallery where these latest offerings can be viewed - there are not many.
We`ve just returned from painting in the highlands of Scotland and I will get to some serious renditions soon.
At the moment I am frantically finishing off paintings for my exhibition which is going up on 31st. August at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens - panic is becoming a reality.
Must go now and phone framer Chris .
Lovely to be back with you all
Happy Painting
Love

Back again - couldn`t find the log in details written on paper by Andrew Netsemblance who knows my technical capabilities. It`s hard to equate this with the fact that I ran an electron microscope in a renal research unit for three years.

Latest news - exhibition at Stourbrdge has finished and was pleased with the response so off to get travellers cheques for our trip to China in June. My chinese art tutor is coming to Beijing with us so we will be able to visit the artists and galleries and appreciate far more than on our own.

This year have three more exhibitions - the Birmingham Botanical Gardens annual ex. and also with my art society , and again at Stourbridge with the art society. Will get andrew to set up details on website.
Next year I have two exhibitions of my own so am thinking of reducing work to three days a week to paint more. at the moment have a thing about silk painting and have been enjoying this very much.

Many thanks for all the e-mails from the site - people are logging in from all over the world including Indonesia, Israel and Malaysia - the statistics are quite surprising. it`s probably because the search engines have picked up the site.

I recently spent a weekend painting with Qu Lei Lei ,yet another brilliant weekend and very good company with Angela, Jane , Joan,Sylvia and Peachy.

wishing you happiness

At last!!! I have found my way back to blogger thanks to Andrew, my web designer, I hope you haven`t been holding your breath all this time.

Latest news is my exhibition beginning 3rd April, all details are on the website. At the moment I am
busy sorting the
new paintings for the catalogue.

Off again to China soon to see the lotus flowering. travelling to Beijing , Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Shanghai. Robert has not visited China before and is looking forward to sketching and painting watercolours out there.
We had a brilliant deal for flights from Airline Services, really recommend them, details from internet.

Last weekend spent with Qu Lei Lei at great Missenden, painting lotus and kingfishers so now I am painting yet another lotus using all the inspiration from his teaching.
My weekly tuition continues with my tutor from Shanghai - I am so fortunate to be taught by them both.

speak to you all soon, be happy

Glynis
